Wings Plumbing was started in January 2014 by husband-and-wife team, Dawie and Cindy du Plessis. Dawie started working in the plumbing industry in 2007 (doing mainly maintenance work) and successfully passed his trade test in 2010. During his time spent in the maintenance field, Dawie picked up invaluable experience in a variety of sectors and has worked in and around private residences, hospitals, dairy factories and even the harbour. He has worked on municipal mainlines, and has experience of leak detection, jetting machines, and vacuum trucks for waste removal. In 2013, Dawie and Cindy decided to take on a new challenge; they both resigned and started Wings Plumbing in January 2014. From the onset, Wing Plumbing was extremely successful, and they decided to specialise in construction plumbing only with their focus on always delivering top-quality, professionally executed work. Wing Plumbing pride themselves in the fact that they only used SABS-marked products and do all their installations according to SANS.Wings Plumbing has successfully finished projects on more than 45 construction sites in the Garden Route area, some of which include high-rise buildings, residential dwellings, clinics, factories, and shopping centres. Due to their success in the specialised field of construction plumbing, they only do maintenance on current clients’ water reticulation. Due to excellent referrals by previous and existing clients, they are currently in the fortunate position where they cannot keep up with demand for their services. In 2017 they decided to put together a maintenance team whose sole focus is to provide quality maintenance services to existing clients. Wings owner (Dawie du Plessis) founded another company, Wings Earthworks, in 2016, and while this business is still in its infancy stages, it has already shown tremendous growth.
